ABSTRACT

Invasive Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) infection can be prevented by Hib vaccination but it has not been carried out routinely in our country. We present two cases of meningitis and epiglottitis due to Hib in order to emphasize the situation of invasive Hib infection and its necessary for inclusion to routine immunization program.
