ABSTRACT

While technological development produces new ceramic types and systems, usage areas of ceramic has been extended. But because of breaking resistance scarcity, usage areas are presently limited. Without disregarding the esthetics, in order to increase the resistance of porcelain that exposed to high loads in mouth environment, many procedures were investigated. In this rewiew, these procedures, historical developments and classification is mentioned. When these new systems with increased resistance, compared with classical porcelains, new systems allows production of more qualified and resisted restorations.
