ABSTRACT

We aimed to compare the opinion of physicians and nurses on organizational justice and psychological contract and determine whether tehere is a significant relationship between to concets. The study has been conducted on physician and nurses in a 1200 bed training hospital in July-August 2010 in Ankara. Out of 646 surveys given out, we collected 413. In the first phase of the study, focus was on accessing the individual characteristic of the empyloyee.,In the second phase of the study, the Psychological Contract Scale (PCS), which was developed by Millward and Hopkins (1998), was used. And in the thirht phase of the survey, we used organisational justice survey of Colquitt (2001). Analysis showed that there is significant differences between physicians and nurses’ opinion on organizational justice and psychological contract dimension. We did not find any correlation between transactional aspects of the psychological contract and organizational justice, but we found a correlation between relational aspects of the psychological contract and organizational justice (p<0.05). The score of transactional aspects of the psychological contract was found to be higher in nurses. However, the score of relational of the psychological contract was found to be higher in physcians.
