ABSTRACT
We performed bi-caval orthotopic cardiac transplantation to a man whose diagnose was cardiomyopathia in Cardiovascular Department of Gülhane Military Medical Academy on 26 June 2002. His age was 55 years old. The patient was given standard immunosuppresive therapy that included cyclosporine, azathiopyrine and corticostereoid drugs. The patient's preoperative and postoperative period was evaluated and discussed in the view of literature knowledge.
