ABSTRACT
Rickets, though a metabolic disorder seen especially as a result of exogenous vitamin D deficiency, is a childhood disease whose frequency of occurrence has gradually diminished thanks to the improvement in the standarts of both health and nutrition. However, some different types of this disease that can occur with various etiopathogenic mechanisms are relatively rarely seen. In this paper by introducing a hypophosphatemic rickets case, which fall into the group of rickets resistant to vitamin D, the importance of both the existence of a different type of rickets and early diagnosis have been stressed.
