ABSTRACT
Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are widely used in congenital heart diseases with left to right shunt, mitral and aortic insufficencies and congestive heart failure. Bone marrow supression according to the usage of ACE inhibitors is uncommon and pancytopenia have not been reported with enalaprile. Here in we report on 8-month-old boy large atrial septal defect, pulmonary hypertension and congestive heart failure who was on digoxin and enalaprile therapy for two months and developed pancytopenia and successful treatment of agranulo cytosis with recombinant granulocyte-colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF).
