Transfusion transmitted virus infection in a child

This case report describes a fiveyear- old girl with transfusion transmitted virus hepatitis. The disease was clinically characterized with malaise and fatigue, and serum transaminase levels were high. Microbiological diagnosis was made with PCR method by detecting viral DNA. The signs and symptoms disappeared in seven months and the patient recovered without any medical treatment.
