Subcutaneous emphysema in the extremities is usually secondary to serious infections with gas- forming bacteria. In addition, high-pressure gas or liquid injection has been well documented to result in soft tissue gas in the literature. The differential diagnosis of the two situations is of great importance, since their treatments are completely differrent. In the current study, we present a case resulting from highpressure liquid patrol gas injection. In a number of clinics which he referred , he had received a variety of treatment proposals including amputation. However, complete recovery was achieved with simple careful observation.
