Nowadays, it's known that 40% of reasons for the infertile population consists of the male factor. Since 1992, when the first microinjection was applied, although amazing improvements have been done for treating the male infertility, the pregnancy rate hasn't reached the desired level. Starting the use of testicular sperm aspiration with surgical tecniques from azospermic males in 1995 and the donor programmes applied in the western countries have caused the cryoconservation of the sperm to be an obligation and led an acceleration in the improvements of the tecniques used. The cryopreservation of the sperm has increased the success in the assisted reproduction treatments by 10% and also has helped the conservation of the 'future fertility' before the application of procedures like radio-chemotherapy, testicular surgery i.e. The aim of this article is to give knowledge about the indications and techniques in cryopreserving ejeculatory and testicular sperm and to show the key points of how future fertility should be saved.
