Pterigium colli is a clinical finding that may be seen in Turner, Noonan and Klippel-Feil syndromes. The extracervical skin extending from the mastoid processes to the acromion constitutes curtains which may be bilateral and asymmetric, and the name of “flail neck” originates from this view. The hair line extends laterally in the posterior and a wide nuchal line is formed. Several methods have been described for the repair of pterigium colli. In this report the repair of pterigium colli in a 16-year-old patient with Turner syndrome using a modified Z plasty technique is presented. The advancement technique of lateral cervical flaps in the repair of pterigium colli is a safe technique with satisfactory results.
