The aim of this study was to have normative values of electrooculogram for electrooculography evaluations. Electrooculography recordings belonging to volunteers who do not have any systemic and ocular pathology were recorded in the electrophysiology laboratory at the Ophthalmology Department of Gulhane Military Medical Academy. Results were categorized into three age groups of 12-19 years, 20-39 years and 40-59 years. Only the recordings obtained from the subjects who provided all the test conditions were taken into consideration. All the recordings were made by using the recommended standarts of International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision (ISCEV). Normative values of electrooculography were presented using the mean±standart deviation and minimum, and maximum limits with a 95% confidence interval were also calculated. The importance of the electrooculogram on the differential diagnosis of the retinal diseases was mentioned. An emphasis was made that each laboratory should have its normative values for its own laboratory environment. Our results may be used as a reference for laboratories that did not yet assess its own normative values.
