Hydatid cyst is a helminthic zoonosis seen frequently in Turkey. It is endemic especially in the eastern and the southeastern regions. The most common involvement place is the liver. The second leading placement is the lung (10- 40%). Intrathoracic rupture of hydatid cysts located in the hepatic dome is a rare and serious complication resulting in damage to the pleura, pulmonary parenchyma and bronchi. Bronchobiliary fistula requires prompt surgical treatment. In this article, we report the tomographic findings of a hepatic hydatid cyst developing introthoracic rupture.
