A Case of Primary Varicella Pneumoniae in an Imunocompetent Patient

Varicella is a highly contagious viral disease of chilhood. Incubation period is 10-21 days. Typical skin rash is in vesiculopustuler form and can be seen on whole body. Primary varicella infection in children is generally a mild disease compared to more severe complications in adults or immunocompromised patients. Pneumonia accounts for the majority of morbidity and mortality seen in adults with varicella. It must be kept in mind that varicella can be caused severe complications. Here in we presented this case to point out the pneumonia which is one of the severe varicella complication.
