Reconstruction of large abdominal wall defects is rather difficult. Abdominal wall defect developing postoperatively is a challenging surgical complication. A 21-year-old male patient with a large abdominal wall defect is presented in this article. Dimension of the defect was 20x10 cm. The large defect was repaired with autogenous tissue transposition. The patient was discharged from the hospital without any complication on postoperative 8th day. The objectives of abdominal wall reconstruction are restoring structural support, providing stable soft-tissue coverage and optimizing esthetic appearance. Autogenous tissue transposition is a dynamic abdominal wall closure technique in large abdominal wall defects.
