Place of the cephalic vein where it empties into the axillary vein is a frequently used region during normal interventions to the body. Variations of this region in addition to its normal anatomy should be known. Especially variations of the cephalic vein should be considered. During routine dissection of a 65-year-old female kadaver unilateral variation of the cephalic vein was encountered. The cephalic vein, having a normal course in the arm, had two separate parts before emptying into axillary vein at proximal arm. The lower part of this vein was emptying into axillary vein at the normal course and the upper part was was emptying into the jugular externa vein coursing above the clavicula. The cephalic vein may be injuried during any intervention to this region since it is a frequently used region during normal interventions to the body.
