At the beginning of XXIst century, human genome project has been nearly completed. Today, much more is known about the human genome. On the other hand, a new technology named biochip technology has been in use in routine genome analyses. Only one gene region or protein is generally analyzed in routine analyses in genetics and biochemistry. Biochip technology allows the advantage of searching for many loci in one sample at the same time. The protein pattern of a tumor can be demonstrated by using this technology in diseases such as cancer, where several factors and genes are affected, and it is possible to find out more specific and sensitive new cancer markers with this new technology.
