Miyokart infarktüsü geçiren bireylerde uyku kalitesi ve yorgunluk arasındaki ilişki

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sleep quality and fatigue in patients with myocardial infarction. The sample of this crosssectional study consisted of 70 patients. Inclusion criteria were above 21 years of age, able to communicate in Turkish, a clinically stable condition at the time of review and volunteer to participate in the study. Exclusion criteria were a history of myocardial infarction or an invasive diagnostic or surgical intervention within the last three months and a severe comorbid condition (psychiatric or medical) or cognitive impairment. A questionnaire form, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Piper’s Fatigue Scale were used for collect data. For the statistical analysis, descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation coefficients were performed. The global Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index mean score of the patients was 9.59±5.77 and the Piper’s Fatigue Scale mean score was 4.21±2.48. There was a significant positive correlation between the global Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Piper’s Fatigue Scale scores (r=0.71, p<0.001). It was found that patients with myocardial infarction had poor sleep quality and also experienced a medium level of fatigue. There was a relationship between sleep quality and fatigue in the patients with myocardial infarction.
