Maxillofacial silicone is an important material in maxillofacial prostheses clinics. However there is probability of yeast colonization on maxillofacial silicones. This situation increases the risk of a second infection of patients whose general health status is usually poor. This study was to measurement of surface contact-angle thus wettability and adhesion of microorganisms of three different maxillofacial silicone materials (VST-50F, A-2006, A-2186) Three different instance of silicone material were measured by the droplet method and surface contact-angle measuring device. The results obtained were analyzed statistically by Kruskal Wallis and the Mann-Whitney U test. It was determined that there were statistically differences between the groups (p=0.00010). In conclusion; the wettability of silicone samples was determined descending in VST-50F, A-2006 and A-2186.
