A 3-year-old boy who had maculopapular rash at his 4th months with early and severe onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis was presented in this article. Clinical findings of disease began 32 months after measles. SSPE was diagnosed by periodic burst-supression waves at electrencephalogram, positive anti-measles IgG, positive oligoclonal bands at cerebrospinal fluid. We started isoprinosine, interferon- ß treatment. In conclusion, this case emphasises SSPE may begin with early onset and severe neurologic findings.
